Tens of thousands of systems producing terabytes of machine-generated data per day. Where does it go? Flat files result in data that can’t be analyzed without it’s own supercomputer. Relational databases are too slow.
System administrators and researchers need answers now.
The Scalable Object Store (SOS) is designed to efficiently store and index millions of records … in seconds. Unlike a relational database, SOS allows relationships between objects to be specified explicitly without requiring a lookup. This allows for very high performance queries that return not just the objects themselves, but also the relationships between objects.
SOS consists of a set of command line tools, a Web GUI and an extensive application programming interface (API).
See the SOS documentation for more information.
